Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda G200, gas tank, orifices

Question
Hi there, I noticed your previously answered Q about Honda G200 Surging. I have the same problem. I have rebuilt carb,Flushed gas tank, checked petcock, ajusted governor arm and govenor shaft in clock wise position with arm on full throttle, changed position of governor spring, this made it worse so I put it back to original location. This motor is on a trimmer lawnmower. Motor surges when throttle is opened most of the way. The clip on the arm by the shaft sprung off and I lost it I put back one that I belive to be the same. Honda G200QAF Eng No 1313314 Carb BB30ACRC This motor sat for about 25 years in a garage and has very little hours on it. It was purchased probably 1978-1981. Best, Dan

Answer
When going through the carb, you need to remove the jets, the are up in the column that the bowl nut is threaded into.  The first one unthreads with a flat tipped screwdriver, the other on will fall out
when you tap the carb on the table, they have tiny orifices that need to be cleaned out, and then reassembled.
