Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ariens emperor riding mower, crankshaft size, engine mod

I have an Ariens emperor riding mower.  MOD# 3970 Se#000303
I am looking for a replacement engine.  
MOD# of engine is V70-125-166A made by Tecumseh.
Is there anything that will fit?

If your mechanically inclined you can prob find an engine to fit.  Go online and do a search for tecumseh replacement engines.  the things you need to keep in mind are crankshaft size, length and diameter, your current choke and throttle control configuration, muffler mounting etc.  Have you checked with your local dealer about a shortblock for this engine.  That would be the simplest and easiest for you.
