Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Incredipull Craftsman string trimmer clutch, craftsman model, john bridgers

Question
Hello,
I asked John Bridgers about this earlier but he's on vacation.
I'm trying to remove the clutch and he suggested using a bolt that is the same size as the spark plug to hold the piston in place to unscrew the clutch from the shaft.  Looking at the piston through the spark plug hole, it never moves when I try to unscrew the clutch - the shaft just spins freely.  This can't be good!  Any suggestions?

Answer
It definitely doesn't sound good, but I am not familiar with the
"Incredipull" at all.  Can you find the Craftsman Model number on the little tag that has the serial number, and we can look at the
blowup of it and make sure that it isn't normal for your model.
Some of these easy start units can be out of the ordinary.
The model number should start with 3 digits, then a period, and the
5 or 6 more digits.

Thanks,
