QuestionI was given this by a friend, it will run 1 - 2 minutes then it will not work until it has cooled off. it does not look like it has been used alot, but the muffler looks like it has gotten very hot.
Answer If it has gotten very hot, you might want to remove the muffler
and look for piston damage, and if you see any, it wouldn't be worth pursuing further.
If all looks OK, you will need to remove and dismantle the carburetor, and clean it thoroughly, especially removing the needle/lever/spring and cleaning the passage underneath, and visually verifying that it is clear by holding it up to a light.
Reassemble, and get some fresh fuel mix
