Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Toro 20017 Drive belt broken, wheel assemblies, assembly drawings

Question
I have a toro 20017 and my drive belt has broken. The mower will now not go backwards. Is this because the belt is broken, or do I have another problem? Thanks, Bob

Answer
Hello Bob:

I Suggest you Disassemble and Clean the Wheel Assemblies at the Wheels. I have a Policy of Cleaning the Wheel Assemblies Whenever the Ground Drive Belt is Replaced. Clean and Lightly Lubricate the Wheel Assemblies, Replace Parts as Required and you should Not have Problems Until the Belt Breaks Again. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/default.cfm and Select Start Parts Viewer. Now Enter the Model Numbers (20017) and Click Search. Now Select View Assembly Drawings. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
