Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Shindaiwa 450 Chainsaw, partner chainsaw, 20 bars

Question
I'm trying to locate the following parts for a Shindaiwa 450 chainsaw. 22135-32150(front handle) and 22102-32111
(bracket). They are "no longer available" from the factory.
The parts 22136-32150(handle) and 22104-32210(bracket)for
model 350/451 are similar looking in the parts diagram. Is there any chance that they are interchangeable if the 450 parts cannot be found?

Answer
Hello Mike:

You Gotta Love the Older Equipment. It Just Never Stops Running. LOL. I had the Same Problem with my Partner Chainsaw. Partner Still Makes Saw, Just Not Chainsaws and Not my Model for Over 25 Years. I Found a Newer Model and McGuivered them to Work Safely and Properly. I have been Lucky so Far with my Shindaiwa Trimmers. Knock on Wood. I have Researched Chainsaws and have Found a Source for Antique/Older/Used Part to be Lacking when it Comes tot he Shindaiwa Brand. I Suggest you Look Into McGuivering the 350/451 Parts to Fit your Machine; ***AS LONG AS IT CAN BE DONE IN A MANNER THAT DOES NOT EFFECT THE SAFETY OF THE MACHINE*** I Also Suggest you Look Into a New Chainsaw. Everyone has their Preference and I Like the Poulan, Husqvarna for the 14" to 20" Bars for Light to Med Cutting and Stihl for the 22" to 30" Bars for the Bigger Jobs. They All Perform well and are Easy to Maintain. Till Next Time. May All Your Mechanical Problems be SMALL ONES and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks Again.

Best Wishes and Good Luck
