Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Height Rod Extension Spring on 170 Mower, extension spring, axles

John, I am hav'g same problemon my 170 mower as Mike in a ? dated 6/19/08.

Part # M71614.  It is listed under section: (80 - WHEELS, NON-POWERED AXLES, SHEET METAL), subsection: (6 - SEAT AND FENDER DECK- and it is item #28). There is a hole under height indicator cover to insert spring but no where on rod to attach spring as you indicated in your 2nd reply.

Please advise.
