Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snowblower, catch22, noma

Question
i have a Noma Canadiana 12/33, about 12 years old, not used much. Tecumseh engine. This beast runs well for 15 minutes, then stalls. With choke half on, and at half throttle, it runs much better. This has been the case for many years now. I can't get it fixed at a service place, as they aren't about to work it for 20 mins til the problems start. Its a Catch22.
help.

Answer
Hi Bobbyo,

This seems to be a problem possibly with the governor.  It sounds like the an engine control system problem.  Once the engine is warm the problem starts to show.  Also, I would check the condition of the spark plug.  Does it look fouled up with carbon?  Is the plug gapped to specifications?  As a starting point, I would be checking these areas > troubleshoot and get back to me.
