Answer
Hello Alex:

1- Check for a Blown Head Gasket. Usually the White Smoke and Oil Spitting from the Muffler on an OHV Engine is Consistent with a Head Gasket Blown between the Cylinder and the Push Tube Galley. 2- Is the Engine Oil at the Correct Level? Is the Crankcase Oil Contaminated with Gas? If Yes, then the carburetor Needs to be Soaked and Cleaned Properly. The Carburetor Float Needle valves is Leaking in this case and the Crankcase Oil is Getting Contaminated with Gas. You Stated the Smoking and Oil Spitting Stopped when the Engine Got Warm so I Suggest you Check the Head Bolts for Being Loose or a Blown Head Gasket. The Head Bolts are Torqued to 26 Foot Pounds. 3- The Crankcase Breather will Usually Cause this Only if the Crankcase is Overfilled. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the T. Then Select Tecumseh. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Enter the Model Numbers (143.981300). Then Select your Model and Download the File for Online Viewing. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
