Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): No Spark Briggs 18.5 OHV Intek engine, dyt4000, fan shroud

Question
Hi,
I have a dyt 4000 that has no spark to the engine.  I've removed the plug and turned over to verify.   I also jumped out the seat switch to see if that was killing the spark.  Still nothing...  Any suggestions how I could check the coil or is it just a process of elimination at this point?
Thanks

Answer
Pull the fan shroud and diconnect the small wire going to the coil.  Crank the engine, no spark means bad coil.  Spark means trouble with the tractor safety circuit.

FYI... I don't have a clue what a DYT4000 is, but, troubleshooting will be the same.
