Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Simplicity model 6011 mfg#1690347, pto safety, key switch

Question
Won't start using the key switch. 1. Solenoid good 2. replaced diode at solenoid. 3. Trans safety switch bad but is open. 4. PTO safety Ok. I can bypass the solenoid and it will start and run. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank You

How many small wires are on the solenoid?  One or two?

One small wire must  receive 12 volts DC from the key switch when you turn the key to the start position.  You can check this with a volt meter or a test light.  If there is no power start tracing the samll wire from the solenoid to the key switch until you find power.
You might want to remove the key switch and see if there are small letters stamper next to each pin.  Let me know if you see an letters on the key switch.
