Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Loose Belt Craftsman Riding Mower, craftsman riding mower, pulleys

The belt on my rider is loose and it keeps popping off. This happened all of sudden. When I put it back on it just pops off. The mower is an LT 1000 Craftsman.

Hi Christopher,

Either, one of the pulleys, usually an idler, is out of alignment or the belt is getting worn.  Inspect the pulleys and their bearings for play.  The belt should not be glazed or rounded on the edges.
