Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): go kart engine, fuel flow, needle valve

hi michael
bought a go-kart for my 10 year old son  not sure of make of engine i think the man said 5hp it looks to me as it could be made by honda
the problem i am having itha the engine is stalling but will start up first time when warm  
it runs ok  for first 5 to 10 mins then when he turns quickly it stalls
but starts ok again .its not losing power
checked the oil level  and plenty of fuel in the tank     can you help   thanks ronnie  uk

Hi Ronnie,

Check the fuel cap to make sure it is venting.  
I suspect a fuel flow problem.  Check the carb's float and adjust it so the float is set closer to the needle valve.  Make sure you have a good fuel flow from the fuel tank.  If no change, you may need to disassemble the carb and clean it of any dirt.
