Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): replacing filter tube in fuel tank, homelite gas trimmer, wd 40

i noticed that the tube on the filter in fuel tank broke do i need to replace the whole tank or can i replace the filter and tube if so what is the trick to getting at it? any help would be grateful thank you

You can just replace the fuel line.  If the old line is black then you will need to get the Homelite part from a dealer.  We have tried other line but the Homelite fuel line works the best for your trimmer.

One trick is to cut a taper on the fuel line to install it.  The taper will make it easier to start the fuel line in the hole.  Once the tapered end is through the tank hole you can use some needle nose plyers to pull the rest of the line through the tank.  A little WD-40 will ease the installation.
