iam not much of a mecanic with snow blowers but .i have this snow blower that will not stay running.once i have started it will run for about a minute and stops,so i keep priming it and it will stay running for awhile ,i put a new what i call a pump on the bottom of the carp ,because i was told that was dryed out and it still does the same thing .my buddy has the same modle and his does the same.plus i bought it used from him ,can some one tell me the setting on the carb starting point  for the screws on the carb and help me with my problem thank you,larry

Hi Larry,

The large high speed mixture screw should be set at 1 & 1/2 turns out.  The small low speed mixture screw at 3/4 turn out.  Set the idle screw to give a good idle speed.

If no better, then the carb most likely has dirt, debris, gummed fuel or water inside.  You will need to remove the carb, disassemble it, clean all the small internal openings and blow it out with compressed air.   Probe each and every hole with a small wire.  A carb rebuild kit wouldn't hurt either.
