Sir, I need to know the stock bore size and how much oversize I can go. Model # 400707 Type 0126.Also I would like to know if and where the parts can be purchased. Thank you, Dale

Your local Briggs Dealer can help you with any parts you need.  

I am currently away from the shop, conference time again, and will not be back for a couple of weeks...so I'm not much help with the bore.

Again, and I have to say this because of the Briggs Dealer rules, your local Briggs dealer can provide you with parts and the bore specifications.

Many local machine also have this information and can provide you with parts.  Most good machinest can even tell you how far you can oversize...Briggs sell pistons up to .030 over for most engines.

Are you planning on just rebuilding a mower engine or a high performance engine?
It may actually be cheaper to buy a short-block or a complete new engine.
