Snowmobile Repair: Poor performance, polaris 340, warm weather

Question
I recently came accross a 1989 Polaris 340 Sport
Which ran OK in very cold weather but ran poorly at top end as the temperature warmed up. The machine could hardly haul itself after a short run in warm weather. What we consider warm is probably -2 t0 -6 celcius. Hope you can shed some light on this problem

Answer
Hello John,

Sorry for the delay in my response, I have been on vacation from Allexperts. It sounds like the sled is flloding itself out, which can amke it act like it is overheathing. Try cleaning the carb, and maybe leaning out the fuel/air mix on the carb. Also, a set of plugs one range hotter may help. Hope this helps you. Good luck with the sled! --Arcticatman
