Answer
Hello Chris,

I believe you are referring to the chain case, as all older sleds are two strokes. Both of your sleds sound like good ones to start. Here are the procedures for the Yamaha Bravo; there should be a rubber plug or a bolt towards the bottom of the chain case. Remove it, and use a hand siphon to remove all fluid. Then, Pour 6.7 ounces of SAE 80W-90 Gear Oil, API classification GL-4 , into the case. When you have filled the chain case, take a straightened-out coat hanger. and dip it into the case, mark the level on it, and you will always know the proper level for the sled, when you check it later. Now for the Ski-Doo Tundra. It should have a clear plastic, round sight glass at the bottom of it's chain case. if it does, you will know where the full level is. Again, siphoning the fluid out of the case is the easiest method, otherwise, you would need to remove the case cover, and drain all of the fluid out that way, and then install a new cover gasket when finished. the proper fluid for the Ski-Doo is Bombardier Chaincase Oil. If there isn't a sight glass on the Ski-Doo, just take another wire or straightened-out coat hanger, and make sure that the fluid is between 3 min and 4 max, inches from the bottom. If you ever need parts, here are two good companies: www.denniskirk.com and www.mfgsupply.com . I hope this helps you, best of luck to both of you with the sleds! Let me know if I can help with any other questions at all. --Arcticatman
