Steering Column Repair: changing blinker/wpier switch in column, steering wheel puller, turn signals

Question
I have a bad blinker /wiper switch on my 91 chevy s-10
do I need to drop and pull steering column?
Will I need steering wheel puller? and are there any other special tools needed? Where on line could I go for help in doing this?

Hello CJ:

You are referring to 2 separate switches inside this column.  one for the turn signals and one for the wipers.
We have recently uploaded some videos on our website to give you first hand viewing of how to remove, disassemble, and reassemble the parts you are talking about. They are broken down into step by step 2-3 minute detailed videos with instructions. Although the video is for a Chevrolet pick-up truck, the column is very similar to yours.
