Steering Column Repair: 91 chevy steering column, steering colum, chevy steering column

Question
how do i get to the four bolts to tighten them on a a steering colum with tilt steering. I have removed just about every thing from the column but i cant seem to figure out how to get it apart rite at the joint on the column i can see two of  the four bolts but cant figure out how to get to the other two.

Hello Sam

If you reinstall the tilt lever handle, simply move the release and the tilt lock shoes will separate so you can remove the rest of the tilt mechanism to get at the top bolts. It's not much room, and a wobble extension for your socket is a plus.
