Steering Column Repair: Who and where., cicero ave, mechanical shop

Question
Just recovered my car after it was stolen.  The steering column has been "punched" the portion
with the ignition switch is hanging loose and there appears to be broken cast metal that is damaged also.  1993 Honda Civic Hatchback.

My question is to whom I take the car for repairs, a body shop or a mechanical shop?  Can you recommend any shops in Chicago?

Hi,

Normally I don't recommend anyone, but this is the exception. I do not know where in Chicago you are located, but the names that come to mind is Sergio's in Oak Forest. They are on Cicero Ave about 150th street.
On the north side there is a body shop Kang's on north and two blocks west of Cicero.
Both can take care of your problem.
