Subaru Repair: Subaru Legacy 1991 Engine Codes, crank angle sensor, air control valve

Question
I bought a 1991 Subaru Legacy before the winter and didn't get much of a chance to repair it until the spring came. I would turn it over once in a while, but besides that did nothing. In the spring the check engine light came on and I pulled the codes. I ended up with a lot of codes: Crank Angle Sensor (11), Ignition Switch (12), Cam angle Sensor (13) Knock Sensor (22), Air Control Valve (24), Canister Purge Control Solenoid(35), and Idle Switch (42). (I believe this is all of them). To me this says that there probably isn't anything wrong with any one of those sensors, but that the information isn't reaching the ECM. I removed the ECM and checked all the wires where they connect, and I also removed the negative battery terminal to reset the codes. I've also checked the fuses to see if that could explain the problem. The check engine light comes on immediatly however when I start the car up again. The car does run witht he check engine light on, and I've driven it around town a few times. It will get up to highway speeds. Is this a problem with the ECM or something else?

Answer
With that many codes there is a problem somewhere with something that is related to all of them. I would recommend taking it to a repair shop to have them run a scan and do some diagnostic flow tests on the car. That will get you answer for you and will be cheaper than just throwing parts at it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
