Towing Issues: Car Towed from Hawaii Cul De Sac, pearl city hawaii, honolulu area

Question
i was parked in a cul de sac in pearl city, hawaii and although there are no parking signs, my car was the only car which ticketed for parking in a no parking area, but my car was the only one which was towed.  there were other cars parked around me in up and down the street but only my car was towed. is this legal? why did all the other cars only get a ticket. my car is legal with nothing expired. never received a ticket before. where can find the laws or parking ordinances about parking on a city and county of honolulu street. i am willing to accept the ticket, but am upset that only my car was towed.

Answer
I keep referencing a statement I heard about why people get tickets or get towed when in crowds and such, as it tends to apply.

"EVER BEEN FISHING ???,  EVER CATCH ALL THE FISH ???"

Now I might be wrong, but in relation to all the other vehicles, was yours parked in an easy to get to location, and or was yours the "BEST VEHICLE" in regards to value of vehicle and chances of the vehicle being redeemed?

I know these questions seem stupid but it does happen that way at times.

Now I also know that Honolulu area towing is done by companies who bid the greatest amount for the rights to receive calls from the city for towing vehicles from Police requests.
That might be where the value of the car comes in to play, as they have to pay for the rights for a year or so and if they tow junk and it does not get picked up then it cuts into potential income.

Now as to the laws and such, I am not sure exactly if they are online but www.municode.com is where you can find city or county codes.

Now as to another issue which I see as a potential issue, the cul de sac. Was this a public (city owned - county owned) street or one in an apartment / condo complex which is private property?   That can affect the outcome also in some part of the answers, but given the fact that you got a ticket then it might public streets.

And then there is the issue where your vehicle might of been just a few inches over a line, or to close to a fire hydrant, or to close to a driveway. Those can be reasons in which only your vehicle was towed.

Too many possible issues here and since I can not see the location, or pictures of the vehicle where it was I am kind of guessing at the reasons for only your car being towed. I try to make general answers in your case based on my towing experiences and knowledge of why vehicles get towed.

Hope this helps.
