Towing Issues: towing from establishment that serves alcohol, leon county florida, tallahassee area

Question
My car was towed in Leon County, Florida from an establishment that serves alcohol.  However, numerous people that I have spoken with have all said that they thought that towing from an establishment that serves liquor is illegal as it encourages drunk driving. The towing company said that after the establishment closes (at 1 or 2 am), the lot turns into a 24-hr tow away zone. Is it legal to tow from the parking lot of an establishment that serves alcohol? I was clearly parked in the parking lot of the establishment and not infringing on any other property.  Thank you.

Answer
Well it might seem that it is a bad idea to tow vehicles from bar parking lots, but it happens a lot all over the country.

Now as to legal laws which prohibit that, I really have no idea of any laws which say that, but there are a lot of strange laws and requirements in the Tallahassee area. I can not keep up with all the rules and regulations all over the United States and as such I am not aware of many of them.

Now I got a friend who used to answer questions here, who runs a tow company where her husband in Tallahassee, and you might check out their web site as it has a ton of information about towing in your area.
