Towing Issues: Illegal towing, tow company, fiancee

My truck was towed from the apartments here I live with my fiancee (who's name the lease is in).  Last week I got an orange sticker on my truck saying that my truck was not registered to the state and I needed to register it by the 22nd of Feb.  Well, I got the truck registered and put the new sticker on but today my truck was towed anyways.  When I called the tow company all they could say was that I must not have fixed the problem.  Can they do this.

Well, since you did not mention the city or state then I can not tell you if they did something wrong. But the property management can have vehicles towed and usually do for no tags or expired tags. And in most cases the property management calls for the tow company and signs the authorization to have it removed.

When you put the tags on it, did you move the truck at all or was it in the same space. At times if the vehicle does not move then it gets more attention.
