1. I had a friend car that was tow away and when to the storage lot. To get pick the care up and was told to have my DL and insurance to the car. But when I got there they had a different policy. Was told to have the own of the car had to pick it. And have the title of the car. Now that my first question.  2. Well after not receiving the car. I asked if we can get of personal item out of the car. With our names on them and was told not. And talk to very rule to my the storage clerk and told you call the police if you don't like what I said. If you can get me a little help of this matter. Thank you from Houston Texas.

If I understand correctly, here is your answer. Unfortunately in most states the owner of the vehicle is required to be present to redeem a vehicle. This is for the protection of the owner of the vehicle. Second, if there are any items in the vehicle, then the towing company is responsible for them and even though they may belong to someone else the towing company has no way to know why they are in the vehicle. The only exceptions that are generally made are for medications. The towing company also has a lien on the property in the vehicle. I don't always agree with this but they usually will not release property without some type of payment.
