Towing Issues: Illegal Tow, tow king, unlicensed vehicles

King Wrecker Serivce, PBC< Florida My apt has a rule no registered cars, My car is not registered (sticker) but If i get the owner's permisson I have a good history and i've hit a spout of bad luck. Can they still tow my vehicle for an expired tag with permission of the OWNER of the complex to be there?

Ah it sounds like you are asking about "unlicensed vehicles" or vehicles which do not have a current sticker indicating that you have paid the state your taxes to license the vehicle...

Yes many complexes have rules and regulations which state that "unlicensed vehicles or vehicles with expired tags" will be towed.

Its kind of a "look good issue" where they want vehicles that move and such, instead of ones which sit there with flat tires or such.  

Also licensed vehicles tend to have insurance which they look at as a good thing. They tend to look at that part as financial responsibility on the part of the tenant.


SO it sounds like the vehicle can be towed for the expired tags even with the owners authorization to be there.
