Towing Issues: Towing non running cars from apartment, provo utah, tow companies

Question
I have four cars that I would like to have removed from my complexes.  All four do not run and are eye soars.  Only one of the cars appears to be owned by an actual tenant.  It is either owned or being purchased by a son of a tenant that moved in with his mom.  It is the second car for this unit.

What are my options for getting them towed?  What kind of notice must I give and are there official forms?

The properties are located in Salt Lake City (contains one tenant owned car and one non tenant car), Utah and Provo, Utah (Two non tenant cars).

Thanks

Answer
wow  Utah has a strange lack of laws that I am able to find concerning removal of vehicles from private property..  I could not find sign requirements or real specific laws for this.. I found some that mostly deal with law enforcement towing and also the lien process..

My best answer here would be type up a letter stating that the vehicle needs to be removed (give it like 7 days or so) and if it is not removed then it will be towed at owner expense.

While you are waiting for the time to run out, I would also contact a few different tow companies and see who is doing "private property impounds" as some companies do not do then and some will but have other company policies which they follow..

Good luck in this and hope it helps... Sorry for the lack of REAL INFORMATION, but it looks like they have some lack of information in Utah.
