Towing Issues: towing from my apartment complex, property management company, towing services

My truck was recently towed from my apartment complex in order to be able to stripe the lot.  There was no notice given, and they then made me pay to get it back.  What are the laws in regards to this in montana?

After searching for information concerning rules and regulations affecting towing services I found some, but also it appears that the laws are currently being updated also..

Not much help there then...


As to having to pay to get the vehicle back, unfortunately the did provide services.. Now usually (this is what we do down here in Alabama) we would of relocated the vehicle to another part of the parking lot.. But each place is different..

Notices, well did the property manager know about the work striping the lot.. They should of done some notices, and unfortunately at times its not much of a notice.. They might of just knocked on doors and if no one is home then vehicles will be removed.

Check and see if you can get some-all or none of the fee back from the property management company.. Hate to say it though but you might be out of luck.
