Towing Issues: Private property tows, public safety issues, property tows

Question
I was wondering if police departments in Connecticut can get involved with towing vehicles off private property.(Illegally parked)  I know the owner of the property has to have paperwork with a towing company that states who can authorize a tow.

Answer
I checked what I could find, and it does not appear that the police department is involved in the towing from private property...   BUT that does not prohibit them from doing so if the vehicle was driven onto the property as a result of a traffic stop or arrest...  Nor does it prohibit them from towing "abandoned vehicles" from private property under "nuisance or public safety" issues..

Usually the property owner or manager is required to sign an authorization for the vehicle to be removed from the property...
