Towing Issues: truck flat towing, chevy 4x4, gear boxes

I have a 1992 chevy 4x4 p.u. can this vehicle be flat towed if I put both gear boxes in neutral?

well in theory it will work, but they also have other issues that you have to considered...  But beside the fluid levels in the transmission and transfer case, possible bad u joints  you should be able to do it provided that the tow vehicle is strong enough to do the job safely with out risking damage and safety issues due to not enough capacity for brakes.
