Toyota Repair: 1988 toyota 4*4 pu key cylinder change, haynes manual, release pin

Question
I changed my ignition lock 14 years ago, and now it is worn out and needs a change and I cant seem to figure out how to do it , even with my Haynes manual. I cant find where it is I stick the paper clip in to release. Is it more of a "slot" facing pretty much directly at me as I sit in the truck, or is there a paper clip size hole somewhere? If you had a pic that would be great.
My haynes manual also says to disconnect the ignition switch connector - I cant seem to find it, all I can find is the little white connector on the dash side of the switch, which I think is the unlock connector.
Thanks

Answer
there is no need to disconnect the ignition switch connector since you are only going to replace the ignition lock cylinder. the key has to be in the ACC position in order to press the release pin to pull the cylinder out, the hole where the release pin is should be on the bottom of the lock housing. You may have to remove the plastic covers around the steering column.
