Toyota Repair: Idling problems - 1996 Hiace, toyota hiace, adjustment screws

Question
QUESTION: Hey there, I have a 1996 RZH113R Automatic Toyota Hiace with a 2.4L 2RZ motor. It has 270k on the clock.
When it's cold, it idles fine in Park and Nuetral (I suspect it has an automatic choke) and idles slightly lower in Drive and Reverse. However, when it gets warmer (I suspect when the automatic choke turns off) it doesn't idle well in Park and Nuetral and idles even worse in Drive and Reverse (Sometimes it stalls).
I have tried to locate the idle screw, with no prevail. Can you tell me what might be wrong and where the idle screw is so I can atleast make it driveable as I start my new job as a courier next week.

Thank you for your time. - Cameron.

ANSWER: The idle is not adjustable and is monitored by the computer and adjusted as needed. Try cleaning the inside of the throttle body using a can of spray decarbonizer/carb cleaner and a brush, remove all the carbon and recheck it after driving it for about 20 minutes, remove and reconnect the battery negative cable for a bout a minute before driving the idle should return to it's normal setting.

QUESTION: This specific one has a Carby. Does it still have a computer to control the idle?

Answer
Sorry, I'm not too familiar with carbureted engines on this model as it was not sold in the US, it was sold as the Tacoma which is EFI, I do know about varburetors as I have worked on toyota's since before fuel injection came along. Most later carburated engines were computer controlled here in the US but yours may be adjustable , if it is look for a small spring loaded idle misture screw at the base of the carburetor, there should also be a speed adjustments screw on the linkage on the side.  If you'd like you can upload a photo of the carb so I can see if it has these adjustment screws. Also check the underhood label it usually indicates if the idle is adjustable and to what speed to set it.
