Toyota Repair: dash clock, dash clock, toyota camry

I just bought a 96 Toyota Camry and the clock will not go off when you turn the car off.  Should this happen?  I don't want my battery to get drained.  What should I do?

No, this should not happen, the clock should go off, someone may have rewired it wrong so it stays on, especially if there is an aftermarket stereo system that was added, the clock itself amy have an internal problem, I would recommend having either the toyota dealer check it or someone that knows car electrical systems.
