I am thinking about converting to R134a since there is a leak in the system, which I have to locate, and R-12 is hard to find. Will PAG oil be compatable with the original A/C compressor and do I have to replace the receiver/dryer with an OEM unit with desiccant compatible with R134a? Any other parts I need to replace? Thanks.

The oil is compatible with the original compressor, I would recommend replacing the receiver drier when doing the retrofit simply because of it's age, it can be the OEM type for R-12 it makes no difference, there are no ther parts that need to be replaced unless there is another problem or a leak.
