Toyota Repair: Toyota drum brake, rear brakes, wheel cylinder

Question
Hi Ted: I am trying to replace rear brakes for my Toyota 1988 corolla. I have everything back together and now the drums won't go back on. I pushed back the wheel cylinder and the adjuster screw is all the way tightened in too, I don't know what else to do. Please help, Thanks.

Answer
Make sure that the brake adjusting lever is making contact with the teeth of the adjusting wheel and not cought in front of the wheel, if that's not it then it may be the wrong brake shoes are installed, make sure the shoes are seated on the bottom against the metal pads.
