Toyota Repair: Engine stalls, air intake hose, celica gt

My 1991 Celica GT was running fine then all of a sudden it stalls whenever it is shifted into gear (automatic trans).  It idles fine but when shifted into any gear except low it stalls immediately.  Any ideas?

Is the check engine light on? If not check the air intake hose that connects from the air cleaner to the throttle body, these have a habit of developing cracks, as long as the engine is out of gear it will idle ok but when put in gear the engine moves in the mounts enough to open up the cracks and the extra air going in will stall the engine,
