Toyota Repair: 2001 toyota corolla auto trans, metal shavings, toyota corolla

hello tex, i got trouble codes on the above vehicle of po500,po750,po755,po770. i erased these took it for a drive check engine light came back on and got codes po500,po755. any ideas? the owner was told it needs a new trans. thanks. i say maybe just the veh. speed sensor.

The po500 could be a bad speed sensor if it was the only code but the other codes especially po775(shift solenoid B) and the po770(torque converter lock up solenoid) would point to a transmission problem, the speed sensor nay have a lot of metal shavings attached to it, remove the transmission oil pan and check for metal in the bottom of the pan.
