Toyota Repair: 1999 Camry warning light, emission control systems, engine misfire

Question
My car was serviced earlier this week.  The fixed an oil leak. A "check engine" warning light comes on in the lower right section of the dashboard.  The service center won't open until Tuesday because of the holiday.  Is is safe to drive the car until then.  Thank you.

Answer
In most cases yes, check engine lights are mostly related to emission control systems and will not affect driveability very much, if there is an obvious engine misfire and the light starts to flash I would not recommend driving for any long distance as the catalityc converter can be damaged.
