Toyota Repair: 1987 Tercel Clutch Info, clutch lever, clutch assembly

Question
Hi, I have a clutch that intermittently disengages often causing the trans to not shift smoothly in any gear. The master and slave cyls look clean, no pits, new seals and cups for both pistons and the system is completely bled - no air. The slave piston throws the clutch lever just under a half inch which should be enough to disengage - is it enough? If so, could there be something wrong with the clutch assembly? If not, what is the correct amount of travel?

Answer
That doen't sound it's enough movement of the clutch arm, it should be about one inch or more measured at the pushrod, you may have to replace the cylinders to fix this problem or there is still air in the system or the master cylinder pushrod is misadjusted.
