Toyota Repair: Car Running Hot, oil filler cap, blown headgasket

Question
I own a 1987 Toyota 4 Runner and this car is running extremely hot after riding 5 miles.  What is the problem?  I put in a new radiator and thermostat and this problem is recurring.  What else do I need to check?  There are no leaks.  All of the hoses are new.  Once the engine is hot, the reservoir fills with antifreeze and it bubbles.  Why isnt the antifreeze circulating through the engine?

Answer
Two possible problems come to mind, either there is a problem with the water pump or the headgasket is leaking, it is not uncommon on older engines for the water pump to have corroded impellers to the point where they can't move the coolant any more, I have actually seen them be worn away completely, the water pump is fairly easy to replace, or you may want to have a repair shop check for a blown headgasket, before you do any of that remove the oil filler cap and look inside if there is a milky deposit you need go no further, this means that there is water in the oil and the headgasket is leaking internally.
