Toyota Repair: car shaking problem, camry 91, engine vibrations

Question
I have a Toyota Camry 91 with 120,000 miles
it drove fine but one day, it started shaking. Shakes at all speed, but really worse when I stop at traffic lights.if I switch to Parking, then it shakes less.  my mechanics said I had a bad ignition coil, which I had it changed 6 months ago.  He suggests that it is probably due to other problems and recommends getting a new distributor.  what is your opinion on this, if I have a new ignition coil, could that last for a few months? thanks

Answer
I don't believe the ignition coil is the problem or the distributor.
It sounds like there may be an engine misfire, have it checked for this.
The other cause could be there is no engine misfire but there may be a collapsed motor mount causing engine vibrations to be transmitted to the body, not sure which one it could be, would you describe it as a vibration(can you feel it in the steering wheel?)
