Tractor Repair: CaseMX135 Hydraulic lifting arms, calibration mode, jumper wire

Question
Can you tell me how to calibrate the arms on my case,if you set the height control to arms stop in the wrong place, someone sed you need to use a jumper wire in the fuse box is this correct, and you explain the procedure ,thanks barry

Answer
Hello,

The jumper wire in the fuse box is to configure the pto, not to calibrate the hitch.  Hitch calibration is a 23 step process that uses the hitch rocker switch to enter calibration mode and to answer questions the hitch controller asks about the tractor, such as if it has MFD, radar, if it is a European or North American tractor, hitch cylinder size, number of draft sensing pins, tractor model, etc.  Any error codes must be read first, the problems corrected, and the codes erased before calibration.  A 4 digit tire size code must also be entered.  The process takes up 3 whole pages in the manual, and the tire size code charts take up another 2 whole pages.  This is way too lengthy and involved for me to be able to describe the entire process here.  I would be at the keyboard for 2 days.  It probably won't fix your problem anyway.  The only time it should need calibration is if the hitch controller or rockshaft potentiometer is replaced, or if new software is installed in the controller.  If no other problems can be found and you still want to calibrate it, I would suggest asking a dealer to do it, or to explain to you how it's done and supply you with the tire size codes.
