Tractor Repair: Tractor shifting, clutch pedal, kubota

Question
I have a 2000 Kubota 4900 4X4 tractor. It does fine until it gets warmed up, then it is almost impossible to move the forward/reverse lever. All other gears shift ok. Can you advise me?

Answer
First you need to check to see if you have any clutch pedal freeplay. You need to have an inch to two inches travel before you feel the pedal engage the clutch. If you have to much this would cause this condition. Otherwise you clutch plate might be stuck on your flywheel after you check the adjustment and it's ok then when it won't shift then mash on the brakes with the clutch pedal in and see if it stops. If the tractor stops ok but just wont shift check the linkage. There is a ton of bushings and levers just to shift from fwd to rev make sure nothing is seized.
