Tractor Repair: Massey 65 Oil Level, engine oil dipstick, massey 65

The engine oil dipstick has gone missing. It will be a while before I can replace it and I have a bit of work on. Can you tell me the distance the oil level should be from the opening of the dipstick hole (upper and lower levels would be good)?

Hi Murray.
Sorry i don't have a dipstick that i can measure for you.
However a crude way of checking the level would be to carefully drain the old oil in to a clean container . then from this measure the correct amount of oil as it goes back in ! thus giving you the correct level!
A pint or 2 to much will not do any harm.
Check with the manual for correct amount to be put back in.
