Tractor Repair: MF200B Dozer, massey ferguson, yesterdays tractors

Question
Do you have any knowledge about the dozer that MF made.

I have a MF200B dozer and the heat plug blew on the torque converter, should I replace the seals in the T.C. since it got hot. or will they be o.k., and what kind and how much of fluid should be in the T.C. and trans. any help on this would be greatfull.

Answer
It has been many years since I have worked on any of the MF crawlers so my memory on them is kind unclear but I think the MF200B had a fluid coupler instead of a torque converter I know that the MF2244 & the MF200 did have. I can't remember where you set the filler plug hole to fill those if you have an operators manual it tells in it. If I was pulling the fluid coupler for any reason I would reseal it sorry I can't be more help but it has just been to many years. There is a guy on the Yesterdays tractors Massey Ferguson forum that has owned several of the small MF crawlers he can probably tell you more about that machine than I can. he goes by the name Marlowe if you will post over there on that forum I am sure he will give you the answer you need.
