Triumph Repair: spitfire transmission removal, drive shaft, driveshaft

I am attempting to remove my three rail tranny without pulling the motor. I can not get the drive shaft to move enough to remove the transmission. Any tricks or secrets to this method of removal?

Hi Jeff,
Yes you can remove a spitfire transmission without removing the engine. With the tunnel removed you can raise trans up and out, the driveshaft does not stop you from removing the transmission, providing you unbolted it from the transmission flange.
