My temperature indicator in the main panel is not moving, the car is driving fine without overheating therefore I believe is the temperature sensor on the engine that is malfunctioned. Where is that sensor located and can I replace it myself without going to a garage.

Answer
The sensor is located in the area of the thermostat or water manifold.  It usually has just one wire to it. You can test it by using a screwdriver or crocodile cable to short the wire to the engine, or a good earth point. The gauge -with the ignition on- should go all the way to hot.
