Volkswagen Repair: question about 87 golf transmission mounts, volkswagon golf, warm climate

I have an '87 Volkswagon Golf, mileage approx. 90,000 miles, warm climate, in excellent condition.  I brought my car in to the mechanic on base (I am stationed in Guam), and they told me that I need a new engine mount and two new transmission mounts (left and right).  I am trying to find the three mounts on the internet because it is much cheaper, but I can't find a right transmission mount anywhere, just the left.  I can't even find a right transmission mount at Napa.com.  Is there even such a thing?  I find left transmission mounts everywhere.  Does my car need two transmission mounts, left and right?  Thank you very much!

You're right there is only one transmission mount and it is located under the shifter linkage bracket.  You also have a front engine mount attached to the starter, and a rear engine mount behind the timing belt.  You may want to ask your mechanic to explain exactly what he means.
