Volvo Repair: wiper moter, volvo station wagon, insulating tape

How do i get to the wiper motor to replace it with the new one i have on my 1987 Volvo station wagon 240dl?  And how tricky is this repair?

Jay, not tricky for me.  Takes 10 minutes.   You need to remove the wiper arm linkage from under the passenger area.  REmove that clip and set it aside.  Look at the position of the arm on the motor and remember how it goes on. Very Important later on.  Remove the 10mm bolt from the motor and wiggle the arm off.  Set it aside.  Go under hood and unplug motor and remove 3 10mm bolts.    Pull motor out.  You may want to buy some A/C sticky insulating tape and wrap it around the shaft of new motor.  Now just reverse everything and you are in business.  ROger
